What are you talking about?

The reviewer had nothing but great things to say about Sense. He even went as far as to say that "It's one of my favorite interface designs on any touch screen phone". And I agree. I've had Sense on my past 2 phones (HTC Touch Pro 2 and HTC Droid Incredible), and I absolutely love it.

He likes Sense UI I don't. I prefer the Valina Android and don't like HTC.

He said it's not worth $10 bucks and his real world experience was not all the great...sometimes not even on par with a good 3G phone! That's a big stab!! Video play back was sub par too. Looks to me to be a train wreck. Sprint was in such a hurry to be first they failed in providing good coverage, and apparently so so speeds.

Sorry, Cellenator...YOU fail. This is the best phone on the market period. No arguing with that. Sure there's a chance there will be better phones out in probably 4th quarter this year...but right now this is THE phone. Don't be pissed because you live in some dumpy small town that doesn't offer 4g. Take care!

You know there is no arguing the phone has 4G, that's friggin PIMP. I hate the Verizon Inc too, I just don't like HTC...there are too many complaints on hofo about reception, battery life, and call clarity. Frankly I just think the phone is not attractive. But yea hardware wise it's bad ass!

He also said he lives 1 block outside 4g coverage on his video... so that would mean spotty 4g. But when he was in downtown dallas he said he stayed around 5mbps constantly.

HATER ALERT! HATER ALERT! 😳

This is the best phone out; period. He said even if its only 3G its a great phone. If you have good 4G coverage its even better.

Plus we all know Android always has software updates so just because its not mind blowing in every single aspect there can be improvements on all of it.

I'd love to see peoples comments when the Iphone didnt have pic mail for a few years; if they bashed it because not ALLLL of the features were amazing.. ugh haters keep hating.

There are a lot of former sprint cheerleaders kinda ticked off about the $10 required data, and $30 tag on the hotspot (I understand it personally, but I also sold cellphones for awhile)

That being said, not sure why he is working himself up about the shadow.. if it really has motoblur.. it's a non starter for me, unless they SERIOUSLY tweaked it from the Devour.

I read that you can turn off Motoblur.

but even still.. unless you can actually turn it OFF so it consumes no data, it's going to destroy your battery, whether you use it or not (kind of like people who put helixlauncher over sense)

not to mention the custom UI, even if turned off, will significantly slow development on the device.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the form factor and design, and the UI looks a lot better than typical BLUR.. but I also like the Development community having a stock device affords me.

Right and I can appreciate that! You guys with your rooting ROMs MOTO Droid Cyanogenmod bekit kernel 1.2ghz, blah blan ect no idea don't pretend to know but hope it remains the same for you guys, EVERYONE for that matter for the reasons you laid out.

But from what I'm reading. "Word is there is a tremendous amount of new security added to the flash files so they can't be Rooted. They are trying to stop it from happening which is why the major changes."

So turning off BLUR if I don't like it, for me is probably good enough.

just remember, 2.1 was never rooted. What developers did was create an already rooted version of 2.1 using the SDK and flash that onto a phone running 2.01.

Basically it's a backdoor.

So as long as they make it capable for you to DOWNGRADE your os, you can root.

I know rooting's not for everyone. I just want to see how fast moto is to update blur. Gingerbread will most likely be a major release. this phone should handle it just fine.
