More members means that it's moving along well and Android is starting to be known as a serious contender. Hurry up VZW, I'm waiting!!!

You might be waiting a long time. VZW is a member of the LiMo foundation which supports a Linux-based mobile platform operating system. They are currently not a member of the Open Handset Alliance as well as AT&T which supports Android.

True. But... They don't have to be a member of the Open Handset Alliance to have a device on their network that is produced by some of the members of the OHA. They have already said they would support Android if a manufacturer speced it for them.

Very good point. The fact that Vodafone is now a member of both could also play a small part in haning an Android device in the VZW line up.
