I cannot believe this. There is no way this will work. Is AT&T going to give up Blackberries? Do they expect HTC and Samsung to support Windows Mobile for every other carrier but Symbian for AT&T? Perhaps they should outsource their tech support to the manufacturers?

to all of their customers whom currently have a blackberry or treo for example? Since AT&T are only going to be training there people on Symbian who is going to help the others? 😕
Is this cause to break contract without penalty?

Their best move on other OS's would be to departmentalize their support teams, palm, windows, etc., with symbian getting the largest contingent.


As for the ETF waiver, there's no chance in hell of that....

this is still 5-6 years away though... I don't know why anyone is worrying that much about it now. We don't even know too much about what phones are going to be doing in 2014

Me neither. It's not as though my job is tech support and I am wondering who I'll be working for five or six years down the road.

That is a great point to further the question on why even pitch this? To present culture shock at this juncture is absurd.
