Hands On: LG Ally Android Phone
Should be interesting
So on the low end Verizon will have the Ally (Stock android), Devour (MOTOBLUR), and the Droid Eris (Sense, until it is sold out)
Of the three, only Devour is running old software now.
Only downside for reps (IMO) is that It's going to be even harder to position the KIN now I think. That, and hopefully the battery on this one will be secure, unlike the Touch
And what do you mean by hopefully the battery is secure unlike the Touch? Are you referring to the LG EnV Touch? What was unsecure about it? Would it fall out?
2.1" screen, 600mhz processor (high end is snapdragon now)
ENV touch had an issue where the contacts would get loose and seperate from the battery, causing random resets.
I just might get the wife and me a pair of these a few months from now if they don't turn out to be a batch of lemons. I HATE the capacitive menu buttons on all the other Androids and love that LG took them off for this one.
Oh, and the battery on the Ally is bigger, coupled with a smaller screen makes for almost double the standby time. I'm ALL over that. Might finally have a reason to say goodbye to RIM now. I got my Google Voice invite this weekend and the Storm just doesn't do Google Voice very well.
