Hey fellow Phonescoop peeps...does anyone have a link to a map of all the specturm holdings Sprint/Clearwire has in the 2.5Ghz range? With Wimax I'm really hoping for some rural build out...we have EVDO here with Verizon & Alltel, but LTE isn't expected here until at least 2012 or later (it took us 4 years to get EVDO after Verizon first launched it).

I don't have any immediate info on a map to show coverage but you may find this aticle interesting. I hope you will see why WiMax is more of a threat than the other carriers make their supporters believe. It's not that I am Sprint Fanboy. It's because of the technology that will be at reach sooner than later.

Enjoy the article.

Thanks for the kind response. Actually it is not my intent to wage battle rather than to instill some knowledge of what is underated by many Phone Scoop readers.

The article I posted is very extensive but is probably a year or two old. Some things have changed but the main direction of WiMax has not changed course and has had plenty of time to be engineered to get to this point.
This push is what is needed to hopefully rejuvinate some validity to wimax.

The consumption of space is not worth copying and pasteing. You might try googling the domain.
