And lower their price. If they want people to buy their OS phones, than they need to lower the price of the initial selling price to $199. $299 won't get the phones out to everyone and will lose to Apple and the iPhone.

it's not MS -- it's verizon. Sprint has the touch pro for 299 after rebates, or in my market, we do it for 299.99 plus tax, no rebates as long as you get it on a data plan.

Come on. There will be 3 Android phones on the maket by Q2 2009. G1, ASUS brand, and Motorola Brand. all will be under $199.
Every Touch Microsoft Mobile phones are over $199. (refurbs don't count). Letstalk does have promotions, but those always change.
You are paying for an MS license to own the phone. The manufacturer buys them in bulk for $15 a piece, who knows what they're being resold at for the customer.

Dont blame microsoft or even htc for verzions mistakes. The price of this phone is very clear and verizon has raised it to make a huge profit. Sprint even changed the whole apperance of the phone and they still charge less and have a better version then verizon.

are you for real verizon or any cell phone carrier make any money of phones genius, thats why the chargerd early termination fee and data, for texts etc thats how they make the real profit you know how much a minute cost this days 8 cents in 1989 a minute was over 40$ dollars so if yo dont know NOW YOU KNOW 🤣
