Excellent, but hefty starting price

Odd, the G1 costs $179 in the retail store, $148 at Walmart out the door, and this "same" phone from the same manufacturer costs twice as much. ๐Ÿคจ

It should only cost $199 since a license for the mobile OS is $15.

There is no accelerometer in the device due to the slide out keyboard and the HTC Diamond is only $250.

Who knows, Walmart always has a weekly sale on cell phones. Last week's was the LG VU which is $199 after $100MIR, but was FREE with new 2yr agreement. The previous week was the new BOLD for the same price.

True, it is expensive, but considering the unlocked is around 750-800 bucks...

I'm dissappointed that the accelerometer is taken away. That would have been awesome.

But wally world might sell it for under 200 someday, maybe after christmas.

Heck under $200, I might bite! To me the biggest selling points are VGA screen, TouchFlo 3D, and 7.2HSPA.

People would be paying their Xmas bills at that time, It would be nice to see it drop sooner.

In playing around with Sprint's version, The accelometer is present on the Touch Pro. Is everyone absolutely sure the Fuze has no accelometer? I would hate to think ATT would leave this out and still charge the same price as Sprint. The Touch Pro is absolutely a great device and I would hope ATT would not banish features to their subscribers.

Why did VZW decide not to leave the accelerometer in there? WHY?

So, I have 2 choices: G1 (T-Mo) or Fuze (ATT)

I had the same choice. My result has come down to cost and I like the ShopSavvy program in Android. Scan any bar code and it'll list the most cheapest item and others in the local area.

The FUZE has alot of features that comes with the phone, but is way out of my price range.

If any of you want to buy it for me as an Xmas gift. Be my guest. ๐Ÿ˜

VZW has always had a record for stripping features from their smartphones. Why are we even surprised by this?

It actually does have the accelerometer. One of the games uses it as the control.. Tweed or something like that...

Actually, it does have an accelerometer. I'm sitting here with a FUZE playing Teeter right now, which needs the accelerometer to work.
