MetroPCS Launches Nationwide Unlimited Plan

Maybe this signals MetroPCS becoming serious about becoming a nationwide carrier. It would be great if they made a play for some of the spectrum which Verizon will have to divest. I know that AT&T will likely try to step in and seize much of the spectrum, but I would prefer to see a smaller carrier build itself.

this has nothing to do with the verizon divestures...metro and its competitor agreed on a roaming agreement. now they're customers can go in and out of each other's markets and still use their unlimited service. i'm excited bout it bc if it works out this might signal the merger of both companies into a national carrier with a very decent footprint in the future. and if they can grab some of what will be divested, even better. but i think with all their auction 66 purchased spectrum, both companies have enough coverage to be able to compete with anyone if they ever decide to merge. 🙂 pretty cool news
