Also Dell, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony also plan to support WiMAX in their laptops starting in 2009.

1). As mentioned, Sprint is deploying this type of technology ahead of everyone else.
2). Wimax is proven overseas and is solid. Most bugs have been exterminated. LTE is nowhere instituted on real scale basis. I am sure there will be issues upon delivery delaying rollout.
3). Sprint/Clearwire hold a huge amount of spectrum for Wimax. This will greatly enhance coverage to most of the US population and beyond. This will eliminate roaming charges to other carriers. The savings for Sprint will be nothing short of astronomical. This will trickle down to end users! 😁
