I see SE is watering down what still could be and what was a decent product. They are also waiting too long before letting this out. Still I hope them well.

I'm not stupid, I know most acronyms, but the IV that you put at the end of WCDMA, what does that imply???

And why are you referring to the SE X1 as "generic"???

WCDMA/UMTS IV is the frequency pair used by T-Mobile's 3G Deployment (AWS 1700).

I believe the OP meant "unbranded" when he said generic.

Ah...I just never heard of WCDMA being referred to as a series, and all I know Tmo 3G band being referred to as is AWS= Advanced Wireless Services.

The Xperia is definetly a device worthy of consideration, but I gotta learn more about, that's for sure.
