The phone will be OUT OF DATE by the time it gets released. Gag me. If you really want to "network test", just ask John Mayer how his has been working. He's had it for a year!

Way to drop the ball, AT&T.

Speaking of "out of date" phones, whatever became of the SMT5700 that at&t was supposed to carry?

The reason that RIM won't deploy the BB on AT&T it because AT&T's 3G network is poor in coverage and capacity in many areas (hint Los Angeles).
Having 3G with 5MHz of spectrum, while GSM has 17.5MHz, there's some _REAL_ capacity issues. Add in the fact that many of these areas CURRENTLY have 3G on 1900MHz only, and you end up with issues.

On GSM, I rarely have a dropped call.
On 3G I drop more than 50% of my calls (expecially between 8 am and 9 pm)

I haven't dropped any calls on 3G. Utah, in the Provo, Orem and Spanish fork area.

I couldn't believe that we even have 3G either. But it's been a great network.
