If this phone is half the device it purports to be, not only will it be a great device, but more importantly, it will drive the competition between other companies. Windows Mobile & Symbian will be forced to get better, Apple will be forced to include some of the more desired features left off the iPhone, and Palm will either die off for good, or adopt Android outright.
Only good can come of this. 🙂
Now for an unlocked version I can use with AT&T...

The press announcement said that it has dual band 3G. Obviously AT&T and T-Mobile use different 3G frequencies. I wonder if it will even be compatible with AT&T 3G. If not, it wouldn't even really be worth it for an AT&T customer.

I don't really care about 3G - I'd rather use a phone as a voice/sms only device with no data, then browse via wifi (I don't feel the need to have constant data access), but I know I'm in the minority.
I'm far more interested in the application development aspects of the phone - and how other software developers will react with their own innovations and/or copies.

It's only a matter of time before an unlocked version is available on ebay, or wherever. But it won't be 3G, only the EDGE will work on ATT. Cause the 3G is 1700mhz.
