You guys think they can do that many by the end of the year? Especially on T-mobile. Seems like a pretty lofty goal, but hey, who knows right?
...
A swivel-out QWERTY keyboard makes it sound like a Sidekick-style device, and if that's true then 600,000 to 700,000 units by the end of the year is very feasible.
...
yeah if android really comes out swinging they can reach their target. I just think it might take more than 3 months to reach their goal.

Honestly, 3/4 of a million is a bit much.
BUT:
* Kids love Sidekicks. Sales.
* Smart people love Google. Sales.
* Young folks love touchscreens. Sales.
* Families love 3MP cameras. Sales.
Not gonna lie, I'm stuck on a FlexPay, but I'll be shelling out the full 400-whatever they're asking on day one.
Hopefully they actually SELL the white version, 'cause that phone is effing sexy.

yeah all the pieces are there, but 750K is a ton in 3 months. Thats iphone type numbers, and I dont think this phone will have quite that much hype. Should be interesting 4th quarter with verizon launching the new touchscreen BB and tmob launching the first android device.
...
Where'd 750k come from?
HTC is saying 600-700k (or roughly 650k).
Still a lot of phones.
...
i may have wrote down the wrong number, but either way, like you said, its an aggressive target.

more like ... T-Mobile's first _real_ 3G device for its network... SALES.
...
I haven't read that the Dream G1 will have 1700mhz. Also any idea what Tmo's 3G will be like? HSDPA? What about HSUPA? Are they going to start the 3G network off at HSDPA 1.8? Cause ATT's 3G phones have HSDPA 3.6 chips. Just curious.
Just recently I started getting speeds in the high 1mbps range, and on occasion the low 2mbps range. Just curious what Tmo's 3G network is capable of.
...
There will be a white, black and brown version of the phone. Plus its not like a sidekick flip, it has the normal slide sideways screen like most PPC devices but instead of sliding straight out it does a curving motion. Search youtube for the htc dream and you can see it in action.
...
I have no doubt in my mind that they WILL NOT sale that many devices. The phone is hideous! Large touchscreen but it fails in the looks department. I will definitely wait for the next Android phone because the Dream looks more like a nightmare!
...
Your very confident in your statement. If marketed right it will sell like crazy. Apple sells like crazy because they have great marketing. Its all about convincing people that they really need the device.
