I have to "settle" for a Samsung Saga I got for cheap on ebay, and it is working fine on Verizon, which hasn't really failed me even on a phone that performs worse than just about every other phone in the lineup for reception.

I have to "settle" on having my phone being able to upload and download any kind of file the Yahoo! email server will allow, or which I can right-click Save Target As in the browsers.

I have to "settle" on my phone using a removable memory card up to 16 GB in size, and installing/running programs from it directly.

I have to "settle" on using WiFi instead of 3G because I have Cable Internet and it makes HSDPA 7.2 Mbps look like a dog.

I have to "settle" on typing 40 words per minute using a physical keyboard as the touch screen one is just not quite cutting it.

I have to "settle" on using drag and drop to update my music library with my collection of MP3s, as opposed to converting them to AAC and losing quality again on another conversion.

I have to "settle" on downloading free home brew apps for Windows Mobile that people post on the Internet.

etc. etc. etc.

The iPhone is not the be all end all, there are lots of phones out there that have more functionality, even if they are slower and clunkier than the holy grail of phones.
