Too little too late.

By the time the Xperia X1 ships:

1. Android will be generally availble.
2. iPhone will have (likely) sold 10 million units.
3. Microsoft will start to take the wraps off of WM7. (A free upgrade for the Xperia might not happen, so don't get your hopes up.)

The Panel UI is just a shell on top of WM6.1 Despite what SE wants everyone to believe, it's not a platform onto itself.

This device is going to be (way) late to the game.

The "Too little too late" philosophy seems to align perfectly with the carrier it's intended for.

...That being T-Mobile for those that don't know.

Except it has AT&T 3G and not TMo's. Still your philosophy is right on imo...

It also has T-Mobile's 3G and I've yet to see a phone that has 1700 Freq. and not be sold for T-Mobile....But you could be right that ATT is getting it as well....not that they need it *Shakes Fists*
