I don't know anything about how this works, and I'm still pretty sure electricity is actually voodoo(that's a joke) so in order for this to work would the devices have to have an unobstructed line of sight to each other or could you carry a wireless charger around in your bag and have it charging all of your devices?

They said that you could put the coils that transmit the "WiTricity" (their word, not mine) in the wall of a house and put smaller receivers in furniture. So, put a receiver in your kitchen table, end table, computer desk, you name it, and as long as your phone (or laptop, iPod, PDA, etc.) is within 3 feet of the receiver, you're charging it - and the article also notes that it may even be more efficient than the existing power packs used to charge laptops.
