.. its as if Sprint actually did something personal to them. Do they not see that wimax is good for competition?

I've experienced WiMax in hawaii (clearwire) and the service was phenomenal. Now to imagine that x10 plus the backing of google, intel, etc.... I can't wait.

Sprint is moving towards a more Data centric provider.. don't only think about mobile phones people! use your imagination... the possibilitie are endless in what consumer devices wimax can be integrated into.

If wimax doesn't work out well then hey.. i'll fall back on to LTE with another provider... its a win-win for the consumers

WiMax will fail not on its merits...consumers frequently don't pick the best technology (See Windows and VHS, for example.) It will fail because everyone else is moving to a different standard. Can Sprint survive and do a good business with WiMax? Sure. But it is going to cost a lot of money, and last time I checked, they don't have much.

First of all, nobody is claiming which is better except for the ones that want to see Sprint fail. To what advantage, all of you Sprint haters, would this serve? obviously you are not with them so it should not matter. even the Sprint customers are not claiming its better because nobody really knows. The only thing that can be said is that in the test markets in some of the metropolitan areas, the power is incredible. but there is nothing to compare it to. so it would be very hard to understand how you would know which is better. whether its better or not, we are going to enjoy the benefits of the new technology first.

Secondly, Lets say for dicussion puposes that Wimax does not workout. Sprint has left the door open for the transition to...

Why do people like talking out of their butts?! Wimax will set the standard just like CDMA did, there were idiots back then who were saying CDMA would fail, it didn't! Google, Intel and hoards of others are backing WImax.

As for funding, Wimax is already funded so I don't see why you're saying Sprint can't afford it, you're just spewing a bunch of BS!! Also, data rates for Wimax will be less than the current data rates of today.

So what if the other carriers are saying they're going LTE, look at the industries who have said they're going Wimax. Btw, Wimax is running in other countries too.
