Sprint's Airave Femtocell Now Available Across the U.S.
Insane Cost
So to make up for Sprint's lack of coverage or existing holes in their coverage (of which my house is built in), Sprint wants me to double my monthly cost?
How about a one time fee of $50. There's no need for a subscription for an antenna.
I guess I'll be sticking with my very awesome $15/month Vonage service. I just wish people would remember to call that first instead of my cell.

I think one thing that needs to be considered is that no cell phone company says that your phone will work indoors or around very large buildings. If Sprint doesn't work in your house, it's not really because of their service more than it is about the building you live in...It's just gotten to the point where service is good enough to get through buildings, but never has that been something that Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile guarentee with their service. So, yes, a person should have to pay extra to have something that is not promised by a provider.

Hmm, so your monthly cost is $5, because it's obviously weird to understand how that could be.
As far as the subscription price, why not pay the $5 a month price and have good service in your house instead of having to go outside and use your phone? I believe this is a good option for those people who love Sprint coverage elsewhere but cannot get inside their home. Hopefully, people will stop whining about every little thing and try to take it from other peoples points of view! HAPPY TALKING!

Not to mention the fact that with certain other wireless companies, they actually don't want anyone to use a repeater with their products. If you live somewhere that your signal is weak or non...

Here's a thought. If you're a dissatisfied Sprint customer then call up their customer service and let them know why. Let them know what you'd be agreeable to.
I have for years not been 100% satisfied with Sprint's service (or lack of) both in my home and in the area surrounding it. After discussing this with Sprint they have agreed to send me the new Airave for free, free shipping, and are waiving the $5 monthly fee.
Sure, Sprint could have marketed this device this way but then who wouldn't take them up on their offer. I do however think they should consider charging the $100 upfront OR the $5 monthly, not both. The $5 monthly could then be a rental cost.
