Nokia Agrees to Pay Back German State Over Plant Closure

2,300 people lost their jobs because of this. That really sucks for the people living there. I wonder how many plants Nokia owns? They probably have millions working for them in total so losing 2,300 wopuldn't be much to them. ☹️

Considering that I am factory worker myself, it saddens me to see something like this happen. Considering that life over the seas is different than ours here. Half of them will be lucky to find a new job.

It is sad to see those workers out of a job but when business costs are high, it makes no sense to operate at a loss unless the state lowered its taxes. Life overseas is different but you must know that Germany's economy is just as strong as ours (in fact Germany's economy is the most robust in the EU), not every country outside of the U.S. is impoverished.

Plus there aren't any options for laborers who did not have a post-high school education but if one searches for something, they will find an opportunity.
