Verizon Wireless Agrees to Settle ETF Lawsuits

ETFs aren't going away this is just making it Government controlled as opposed to carrier controlled but has anyone considered the fact that the Government is going to get more involved in cellular service, therefore, charge more in taxes in fees which over the course of a contract might in fact end up costing the consumer more?

And since the cost of the phones are subsidized with the guarantee of revenue through contracts and ETFs wouldn't you assume that the cellular industry might change as far as discounts go on phones? Not that there won't be any free phones but the fact that there might be less of them if the Government lowers ETFs and ETF standards?
