You're right. However there aren't many things that you can't do with an iPhone. Especially when you get into the web apps. I have web apps to track daily/monthly/yearly revenue, scheduling, word apps, and it already includes stocks. With 8gb of memory I haven't even occupied half of my phone yet.

Thankfully the somewhat slow internet issue will be resolved July 11 when the 3G phone is available. I'm still amazed with how much I can actually do online with my phone though. I have yet to see anything that compares internet-wise.

I'm sorry youve never been around anything exciting enough worthy of recording and sending lol.I was talking about sending a pic with your phone and getting a pic msg with your phone WITH OUT having to use email. This is all in good fun for me Durka Im not trying to get into a ya mama battle. I do agree that its the best internet and touch face phone out but thats just my personal opinion.

The web issue is being resolved July 11. The GPS issue is also being resolved on July 11. An MMS update is expected to be released by the end of the summer, which would be nice. Not many people are concerned with video. I have yet to find any other phone that loads youtube, visual voicemail, and the ability to view live traffic cams and stocks.

No phone does everything. Phones are meant to supply needs to certain groups of people. If you don't listen to music, then you don't need an iPhone. If you don't sync with microsoft, then you would need a blackberry vs. the Moto Q9 or the BJ 2.

as i've said: i can appreciate your love for the iPhone, but don't like your dubbing it the "best phone ever".

There are so many things that technology is allowing these days that leave a cell phone as "much more than a cell phone".

The marketing for the iPhone, and the fact that its from Apple, make people think that this phone is ON FIRE. But in reality, when compared to other phones side by side...reviewing their capabilities, its apparent that the iPhone is clearly not doing what it could be doing, in todays market...

The best overall phone on the US market today, and you can quote me on this, is the HTC Mogul. Sprint's PPC6800. Out of the box it perform better than the iPhone for most people's general desires in a PDA, and...

i had youtube on my xv6800 with verizon, visual viocemail might be useful when you cant get reception to hear your voicemail. i can view stocks and have never tried live traffic cams, but im sure it could (especially the mogul). again to each their own, an no phone is perfect. the iphone is a nice phone. its not the piece of perfection everyone says it is. look at some htc's with full qwerty detachable keyboards, screens twice the size of the iphone. make all phones look a little silly

"best phone ever made"...hhmm, sounds like you have used every phone ever made, satisfied every test one could put on a cell phone, anylized all aspects of every carrier, their functionality, their suppliers, and even their technology standpoints, and ended up with one conclusion...the iPhone is the best phone ever made.

sounds pretty bold to me. esspecially when this pressumed "best phone" is on a network that is synonomous with exagurated marketing tactics, slow data transfer and "following" rather than leading. If i were gonna add such a title to a phone, i wouldn't rely on my likeness of such a phone, but rather look at over all sales, and that would lead to the Motorola RAZR getting the title. JMO

Considering the fact that I have worked for multiple wireless companies, including AT&T, I have actually used quite a plethora of handsets. Overall sales obviously would not be very high on such an expensive handset. I saw so many returns with the older Moto RAZR due to the lack of durability. On a network of over 71 million wireless accounts, and over 100 million total, I would not expect perfection with data transfer. However it is nice belonging to the largest network in the world, and utilizing the advantages that I am offered.

It's spelled exaggerated, by the way.

i can appreciate your statements about the RAZR as i too know its issues.

Keep in mind though, when you speak of AT&T's "largest" positioning, that a very small percentage of people that have cell phones actually care about world wide coverage and or even use it. What matters to most people (most being 80-90%) that have cell phones, is coverage in their home town. Look up who has the most coverage in the states. I think you will be surprised to see that its not ATT or VZW, but Sprint that covers 295 million people with its network availability.

And also, # of people on the network shouldn't be a factor in the 3G era, esspecially when were talking about stuff at a usuall rate of less than 1mb...

Its good to know that you've fo...

Wow. spoken like a true apple snob, correcting mis-spelled words. who cares man ... we aren't writing a dissertation or the state of the union.

but after working for Sprint for 2 years and VZW for 3+ years ... I would have to say that the iPhone is probably the best phone I've ever interacted with.

Sorry. When someone is trying to debate with me and talk over me I expect them to be able to spell.

LOL I don't really care too much for Apple. I love my iPhone, but I know that it does not cater to everyone's needs. I do believe it's the best phone on the market here in the US. Other phones come close, but the iPhone is still a step above them. There are tons of amazing phones, and I have been working in wireless sells about as long as you have. I'm very impressed by quite a few phones, but the iPhone is still my personal favorite.

You think so 😕

A Blackberry with a touchscreen is just a blackberry with a touch screen. LG, HTC, and Samsung have all tried and failed to duplicate anything remotely as user friendly as the iPhone's touch interface. So all I am thinking that VZ is getting is a Voyager-like phone with Blackberry email capabilities. Hardly anything to jump up and down about but whatever floats you boat 😛

Until we actually see a demo of the touchscreen interface, I think your gloating is premature.

That may be true ... but tell us, when was the last time blackberry dropped the ball on anything ... other than their rare server blackouts.

Outside of the trackball and the email, when have they ever picked up the ball? The Curve and Pearl are nice handsets but they are not spectacular. Not saying the iPhone is the best thing since sliced bread but Apple started something and now everybody is jumping into the touchscreen market. Many manufacturers are dumping a lot of features into their touchscreen phones BUT lack the usability and refinement of the Apple product. In my opinion I think that the HTC Diamond will be a better device for VZ than the Thunder.

have you ever used a blackberry? everything is great about it. full HTML web browsing. excellent quality 1000$ customizable with thousands of free apps that change everything about it.

a Blackberry with a well designed touch screen will be the best phone ever in many peoples opinion. Opera Mini already provides 100% true HTML web browsing, that on a big touch screen on the best network? and Iphone will have lost its title in web access.

I like your display pic, but I cant stand to hear your banter about VW. Get over it man, what good are you doing this forum by slandering your opinion of VW all over the place only to create argument? Your only making VW look like its full of arrogant employees(assuming you are one). Which, I do not disagree, but you need to realize there are other great networks out there too. BTW, I am pleased you came up with somewhat of an intelligent reply to ygbhen, other than, "Of course its going to be great! Its on The Network!"

Also, Opera Mini is a great browser, but I seriously doubt its strong enough to take the "title" away from Safari. It may be as good, but I doubt it will be better. But, its too early to tell, so you cant just ass...
