They realized they needed to take a loss on the actual handset at first to get the first few units rolling. They could make that puppy free and I still wouldn't tie myself to a contract with sprints terrible coverage and customer service. Work on the customer service first guys. Win a few JD Power awards and maybe people will start to take you a little more seriously.

OH MY GOD SHUT UP!
Answer the question, if I wanted your opinion, I would ask "What is your opinion of sprint service, random person on the internet who obviously doesnt live near where I live, since my service and experience is perfect, therefore I have no use whatsoever for your opinion?"

Very nice reply! Love it! BTW, this phone would sell with a $199 price tag or $129.99 after Rebates. Sprint has set the standard for Touch Screen phones. And they thought the iPhone would set the standard @ $199.99. LOL nice try. Thank you Sprint and Samsung!

Ohhh shutup. You care a great deal about any and everyone's opinion not in line with your own, especially concerning Sprint, just like everyone else. If this had been a thread about AT&T or Verizon Wireless with a negative comment or opinion you wouldn't have said a word and don't try to deny it.

Why do I care about those other carriers? I don't have them so UNLIKE some people here I don't speak bad on things I've never experienced.

Well, first of, they are **BETTER** than Sprint....just kidding. I never said you cared about those "other" carriers. I simply stated that you care about other peoples opinions, especially when it concerns Sprint. This is especially evident with you yourself saying "Why do I care about those other carriers". I don't think a single comment made about Sprint goes without a vigorous reply, rebuke or outright condemnation from you. So don't try to pass it off as if you don't care about someones opinion....you care a great deal.

I don't care about anybody's opinion. We're all entitled to them, but if they're spreading lies I get involed ya know.

You are in some serious denial. No 'lies' were being spread. Customer Service with Sprint has a bad rep, everyone knows that. The coverage with Sprint in his area may be poor, doesn't make it a lie just because it is not poor everywhere. And it is an obvious fact that Sprint is taking a big hit on the phone by subsidizing it down to 129.99...If you think otherwise then you need to go to the hospital because you are comatose and don't realize it. But like I said, you care a great deal about anyone with an opinion of Sprint.

Excuse me, 1st off you're everywhere WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Where did I say what people lied about? You took it upon yourself to assume what you didn't know. Tell me in that post WHERE did I state people lied about customer service? Really please point it out for me!!! You doin't know anything, I could have been talking about people spreading lies about the color of the logo. Next time READ the entire post before you go handing out advise, maybe you should get that dyslexia checked out then come back and try again.

I still don't get why the people that hate Sprint so much still visit Sprints forum. Maybe it's because they don't want to hear all the negative things that goes on in every carrier. I'm sick of people complaining about ...

"I don't care about anybody's opinion. We're all entitled to them, but if they're spreading lies I get involed ya know."

Those are your words. Since we were talking about the previous comments made about Sprint i assumed those were the 'lies' you were referring to. If they were not then A: why did you get involved? By your own admission you get involved when someone is 'spreading lies'. Is there some other criteria you forgot to mention so you can cry about having not said it later? And B: If you were not refering to the previous posters remarks, which is what this little thread of ours has been about, why didn't you specify? I think it is you who are confused and/or otherwise befuddled at the thought your precious Sprint might not ...

Decimate the iphone??? This is gonna be like the "razr killer" that all the manufacturers were trying to find. It will probably sell well with sprint customers but it won't create the mass ports that the iphone has. Who will switch to sprint for the samsung instinct?? I would like to see how the instinct sales are after 30 days than 6 months compared to the iphone 3g being released in July. I'm not arguing that the iphone 3g is better than the instinct or that AT&T is superior to Sprint. I think more people will purchase the iphone 3g than the instinct, therefore sales for the iphone will be greater, therefore the iphone 3g will crush the instinct, wake up.

The blade for sprint (also by samsung) was definately far better then the razr in every aspect, screen resolution, media, video camera, etc...sprint music AND evdo. Even the v3xx could barely hold a candle to it. So if history repeats itself, then it will be an iphone killer. The instinct I feel IS a better phone...people are just willing to buy a name plate. Just like the lexus is350 is a superior car to a BMW 335i (in handling, horsepower, etc...) but more people will buy the bimmer because of the name plate. The iphone is a fashon statement. The instinct is just a reply to that fashon statement. Anyone who's really worried about ppc dominance, buy mougles or tilts, or palms. but I do agree, simply based on customer base alone, and on name...

ok i have to jump into this convo. first of all, the blade was a P.O.S because the stupid thing woudl freeze up whenever, not dial right, and didnt have a flashcard slot. the a900m on the other hand was a better phone. yes i know its the same phone but it wasnt. the software was completely different, the hardware inside was different(well little things in the hardware) but it still lacked the flashcard slot. it also came out about 5 years too late because by the time that came out people were already tired of the razr look and just wanted something reliable or "fresher".

as far as the instinc, they came out with this phone at the perfect time. yes it will compete with the iphone but people will still get the iphone because thats what they...

Well, I've had the chance to play with both phones and SELL the Instinct. After like 4 hours of training on the M800 I can say.... its going to compete well with the iphone.

I worked on the pre-launch day for early registers and we had a line around the corner. On the 20th, the line was already starting at 8:30am and almost all my customers were PORT INS from previous iPhone experiences that wanted better data, a cheaper price, a better Insurance plan to protect their investment and a cheaper plan. With AT&T's unlimited plan vs. Sprints you can save over 720.00$ in a 2 year span. With a cheaper price on the device and monthly charge I think the ports will continue.

Have you even touched the Instinct I think not. You're probably scared to check it out because you might like it.

Plus the price on the Instinct killed the Iphone why would I pay Apple for their name?

Last I checked they haven't won one in over a decade almost. So...that pretty much means for the past ten years they've been a pretty terrible company, the last I checked their have been constant rumblings of them 1. Selling the iDen network 2. Possibly purchased by T-mobile 3. Possibly purchased by SK Telecom and British Telecom. So in other words they are banking on this "flagship" device to do very well for them. So they are going to need massive ports from other carriers and at this stage in the game it's not going to happen. Their network might work for the few of you on this web blog but nationwide their is a reason they are number three still and that's pretty much customer service plus smaller network coverage. I rest my case, t...

"smaller network coverage"? You are an idiot who knows nothing but spit out what you think is true because other people said it... Fact is Sprint has more coverage than Verizon... Also, Sprint doesn't need massive ports just to survive. Sure, stop losing customers is important but they don't have to gain tons back just to survive. Now go away because you obviously don't know anyting and have nothing useful to add to the conversation.

LMAO, nothing useful huh, I am willing to bet you work for sprint or the former nextel, so you are just trying to save some face. I'm really sorry to inform you that they are a smaller network. Try to think about it clearly if they truly had more coverage than a verizon or even at&t for that matter then verizon and at&t would be following the same business plan model they have. Well last I checked Sprint practically gives away the farm to get customers and for what, to only lose them again and again. So I'm sure it works for the few of you who are just anti verizon and whatever other companies are out there but, the fact of the matter is this, if they truly had the better coverage and plans of this nature they would have surpassed Verizo...

Im going to take a wild guess here and say Mock5 works for Verizon. Just seems to have that "its the arrogant, um I mean its the network" sound ro him.
