AT&T doesn't have to. They're not hurting for custies like Sprint is.

Still, 'twill be sweet for me! 😁

We already had a training for this and honestly the rate plan are good depending on the customers need but there are certain rate plans wherein you don't have any choice but to take if you'd like to go with sprint.

I currently have a Powerpack 700 with the unlimited data and 1000 texts for $10 extra per line.

Didn't see anything comparable in the rundown.

Wonder if they will retain "buy up" privileges for certain features?

For old customers that has the old rate plans we'll be implementing a "honored but not offered policy" so basically you'd still be able to retain and purchase buy-ups. For new customers and old customers availing the new rate plans the only buy-ups you can purchase is the nextel DC and group connect.

Uhhh... Ok so I had to go and grab an old rate plan guide to make sure... There never was a "powerpack" 700 with a $10 text buyup (or any other for that matter). the family was a $15 buyup for text, and the single lines went from 450 to 900 just like they do now. Now, for the avg data user, at close inspection these new plans look like ripoffs. 450 min @ %$39.99, $10 for text, but $30 for both, when powerpacks with both were just $25 extra. But then when what you have to keep in mind is that these are now "everything" data offerings, and so instead of the old $15 buyup, with the Pro, Ultimate, Nav, TV, and Music offerings, its kinda like they give you the Ultimate and you save $5 overall.

Sprint did have unlimited texting for $10 per line. IT wasn't necessary to carry it on each shared line with family plans if you didn't want to. Powersource lines could get 1000 texts plus unlimited data for 10 bucks per line as well.

Sprint has not offered family texting for $10 unlimited ever. Power Pack indivdual was 10, now its 20 on its own...

$10 PER LINE. In other words, if you had a shared pp family plan, you could choose not to have texting on the shared lines, and pay for only one line. The Powersource phones could have the 1000 texts and unlimited data for $10 per line.

???
If you chose not to go with the $20 unlimited covering all lines, then texting became $15 per line unlimited. Now its $20 per line if you're on a power pack fam and you just want to add it to one line, but includes picture mail. I'm still not 100% sure what you were trying to say... How did Power Source 1000 text msgs fit into this convo about unlimited?

The relevance to the discussion was to show that there were plans available with special pricing available. I know for a fact that the $10 price for unlimited texting for one line only was available on a shared PP because we had it. The Powersource phones did have special pricing.

personally they are getting smart, and trying to fix the damage they have allowed themselves to do! get your customer base back, respect YOUR customers -- even the "evil ones" -- use what you have done before, they keep wanting a free cookie then give them some soy milk .. so they can get a bitter taste in they're mouth think before they beetch .. then retrain and install what loyality and respect means in getting the sale to your reps, make sure your managers are also humble with they're staff and keep making every person count like if they WERE able to have SERO accounts ... and believe me -- you can regain your foundation, your bases and your wealth ... i dont know where it went bad but you always have a choice to make it better!

I finally called and switched from Power Pack 450 with PRO Pack to Everything 450. The customer service rep's English was a little broken but at least understandable. Overall, it really wasn't that bad of a call. I could've had worse, I suppose, but I was patient even though she felt the need to explain all the features which I already knew.
