honestly do you think just because you put it on your contracts saying you cant do a class action lawsuit it would deter anyone from still doing it? anyone can get sued for anything now and days so why do you think this would be any different. what t-mobile should do is sell the company to an indian tribe then they wont be able to get sued. those are the only corp. companies that i know that wont get sued by anyone.

ok heres a dumb question though.....what are they getting sued for? thats really going to hurt their chances of buying out sprint lol....

DT is having its own problems in Germany right now, read some of the international press.

As far as the class action suit, while you signed it doesn't mean its a legal contract. I have no idea what this class action suit is all about, and for all I know TM maybe right.

So if an Indian tribe buys it it means that they will only operate on the reservation?(tmo has operations in MANY states) Looks like tmobile is going by-by. Right?

You sir are an idiot.

and you sir are an even bigger idiot who doesnt understand sarcasm. of course TMO works on other states, counties, cities, towns and blocks. i only brought up the indian reservation thing is because they are the only one that i know of that is still kinda free from being sued by the US. people like you need to start taking things soo seriously. honestly who will this really affect? not I because in the end only the lawyers win and the consumer pays. (how do you think they get the money to give you back your $12.00 that they owe you? they just raise the prices and drop the minutes) so i think next time you want to huff and puff your little e-chest and call people idiots you should read what someone writes and not take everything literally.......

From the article:

"The T-Mobile v. Laster case began when a woman named Jennifer Laster sued the company after buying a phone and signing up for wireless service in San Diego in 2005.

She alleged that T-Mobile engaged in unfair and deceptive business practices by promising free and significantly discounted phones, while charging sales taxes based on the full price of the phone."

I cannot see how that is deceptive - California requires sales tax on the value of the device, not what is actually paid for it.

that's a matter for laster v. state of california... it's really not t-mo's fault that they are following the tax codes. is it?

even as they were telling her it was $30.00 in sales tax for a free phone, she could have still said i don't want it at that point. it's her own stupid fault. just another whining effin over-liberal maggot wanting to sue someone because they 'can' and they think that's the American way...

makes me sick

i blame the courts for allowing these kind of lawsuits. people should start learning that free things are really not free. you pay for everything. hell even the air you breath you pay for. god i wish the courts would start growing some balls and put these lawyers in their place and start setting a good example to the rest of the world by saying that we wont stand for bitchiness....
