Now that they are all the same prices with all the same limits I'll have to sell the data cards based on area covered or speed. I had trouble selling the att and Verizon cards because of their cap.I guess its a more level playing field, I have them all set up so the customer can try each one out so it's about speed or area covered. Att is quite a bit faster but a little lacking in coverage.Sprint and Verizon seem to be the same so there it will be about equipment price.Sprint was pretty easy to sell with no cap and it is faster than our store's dsl.

If they had some common sense, they would have grandfathered those on earlier plans.

IDK how many times I gotta say it, we (at&t) have no cap. We are monitoring over 5gb of data, that's all, there's no charges right now still for it unless something has happened since I have been home for the weekend.

From what I have found out they (AT&T) give it two months of consecutive overage. Then they work with the user on ways to lessen their data volume but still without charging the overage. It is only when these steps do not work that an overage charge is applied at about a $1/MB. One of the things that helps is that the data plans from AT&T now include WiFi usage at their hotspots which is still unlimited and offloads the data volume from wireless network thereby further reducing the concern over the 5GB soft cap. At last check they have something like 17,000 hotspots.

Has anybody actually seen people with overages? Everything i have heard is they are just empty threats from the carriers.
