Maybe I don't understand something about the click, but it seems like another look alike Android phone. I was hoping they would step outside the box and do something exciting and riveting. I sure hope Motorola isn't depending too heavily on this phone pulling them out of the slump. 😳

Well, it's their first Android phone, which is a big deal, and it actually seems to be a nice one, with decent hardware, and software enhancements to rival HTC's widely-praised Sense and Palm's Synergy. For a first try, after a couple years of almost nothing from them, it's quite notable.

I agree that something more innovative would have been nice, but the Cliq does seem like a solid entry, which, given Moto's recent history, was not guaranteed today.

i agree, this looks like a solid phone, that MOTOBLUR looks very very cool. being a *huge* WebOS fan (for both what it can do and it's insane potential especially once Flash is supported), the CLIQ definitely has me raising an eybrow. too bad it's on T-Mo, when a carrier makes a "big" announcement about it's latest city to get >>*3G*

LOL i'm an idiot... stop using carrots!

when a carrier makes a "big" announcement about it's latest city to get *3G*, it doesn't really entice a data junky like me. Still, very solid looking phone, sweet contact interface.

now that i've totally ruined any point i was trying to make haha..... 🤭

Thats because it is another android phone. Like it or not the android OS the next gen operating system for moile phones and it's Motorola's only hope of turning things around. HTC, Samsung and Motorola are all getting rid of crappy windows mobile software and for good reason. Google has done a nice job with the first couple versions of android. But it's just a basic version still in the begining stages. You will continue to see google/android become a bigger and bigger player in the upcoming years. The HTC hero is an example of even more things the android os can do. Times are a changing.....it may be to late for moto though....

I hope they never do away with Windows Mobile. I am a huge fan of options and I like having Windows Mobile as a option.

I hope Google never forgets the reason they were able to get this far, the people, as they get bigger and bigger with android.

And I hope its not too late for Moto. I was never a huge fan of Moto but as I mentioned before, I like options and Moto was never a bad option. I hope this was only the beginning of Moto's comeback. I would like to see them as a major player again.

Lastly, I hope Samsung (the company I consider to be Moto's biggest competitor) picks up the pace and drops a better phone soon to compete with the Cliq. We all know HTC will, so Moto has only a Matter of time to make it work.

I am hopeful and...
