What happened to T-Mobile?

It seems as if LG and Samsung are dealing with Cingular and Sprint users' needs but not anyone affiliated with T-Mobile.

Am I wrong Rich Brome?

I would like to see a megapixel phone with video capture for T-Mobile.
Is there anything coming out like that for T-Mobile?

You could try to get an unlocked Samsung SGH-D500. That should work with T-Mobile. It's a tri-band GSM phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera which does video capture. Here is a link to the specs.

The Sharp TM-200 is already released for T-Mobile DE and will probably be released for T-Mobile US by the end of the first quarter.

Yes, such phones are definitely coming.

There's not being featured at CES because they're coming later in the year. What you see here is mostly Q1 and some Q2 phones.

More phones, including most of the Q2-Q4 models, will be shown at various trade shows and press events in February and March.

if you look at E865 carefully
it's Tmo US version (models ending with "5")
this should be US version of D500, but the spec is not yet disclosed (bt is confirmed, but EDGE is still a question)
sammy provides strong support to Tmo US, and having a strong standing on GSM ground through Tmo US

E335
X475
E865 (if it supports EDGE, this'll be perfect)

T-Mobile announced that they will not be launching a 3G network, and that's where everything is headed. Verizon and Sprint launched their's almost three years ago, and Cingular is launching a full 3G network next year. T-Mobile is behind the times.

I think t-mobile's just waiting to get bought out--hopefully by Verizon--that would be a good move!!!

How on Earth would that be a good move? Verizon already has coverage everywhere that T-Mobile is and they dont even use the same technology.

If anyone buys them out, it'll probably be Cingular. Cingular will do with t-mo like they did with attw.

That would never happen because it gives a type of monopoly and the FCC wouldnt allow it. T-Mobile has been doing better as of late, so I don't see Deutsche Telekom selling anytime soon.

I don't know how it is since cingular bought attw, but as of about 3-5 years ago, cingular was really pressuring t-mo to sell, but they wouldn't.

actually
in year 2001, DT bought VoiceStream, DT wanted to sell VS once, but it's not done, then rename it to T-Mobile USA in 2002
if somebody wants to buy Tmo, I'm sure it'll be Chinese company (probably China Mobilty), like Lenovo to bought out IBM pc department, there's nothing else, just let American to see how strong in economical in China
