Ok, just when we thought we were in the clear, sprint does it again...

Didn't we just convert about a billion people to this "new and improved" system, we slowly walk back to the drawling board...

Why you ask? Well it seems that Sprint thought it would be a great idea to buy out a major analog phone company, in a digital world... Well, when Sprint baught out this "giant", they also got stuck with the responsability of making sure its analog airwave issue was corrected...Nay Nay Nextel...

All I know is if I ever have to call for help and I hear someone say, "Thank you for calling Nextel", I'm going to be a little upset...

If you can't correct the issue, then eliminate it. Head back to the board, think of something new, like sellin...

yes it's just sprint lying about something they didn't have and had nothing to do with 10 years ago when I started in this business selling nextel and sprint side-by-side in an area where sprint hardly got a signal at all and nextel dominated even ATT and Airtouch cellular.

yeah... that's all it is ... hmmm no I think that it was the research I did as the national office supply chain's local technology lead that the district and regional managers asked me to be on the state panel to provide an opinion on which cellular services we should carry in the state.

yeah you're right,

fb3media, you are an absolute idiot. The "D" in iDEN stands for "Digital." And what's with all the sarcasm, especially when you're wrong?!!

Nextel uses iDEN a TDMA-based digital wireless standard designed to work in special frequencies originally designated for analog Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) networks. iDEN has always been digital and was invented by Motorola, who remains the primary manufacturer of iDEN devices.

The Nextel phones are bulky for use by construction workers and business, never really meant for the general public. They were the first network to use gps, to track your workers and contact venders.Sprint bought them because Nextel had and still has the majority of the business push to talk customers that need this service.

I'm serious. If you have an actual source for that let me know, I'd like to check that out.

Ifyou don't have an actual source and are just upset now that you didn't think someone would call you out on a misrepresentation of facts than say so...

😁 🤣 I read this rant and I laughed literally. I work for Sprint as an Iden customer rep. This has been said before IDEN/NEXTEL is not analog. I read this at work and almost killed over with laughter. In fact most of my friends enjoyed it. That being said, yes the walkie talkie portion of Nextel is designed to operate on a frequency that was originally meant for analog Specialized Mobile Radio, however it is all digital. Integrated Digital Enhanced Network or I.D.E.N. Next. Pay attention to the politics at work. This is what lobbyist do. How do you know that a many politicians pockets are being lined with wireless company cash. Look at what they're doing. They're demanding a cellular company to vacate a portion of it spect...
