Dual-Band GSM/CDMA Samsung Sighted on FCC

VZW+UNICEL?

If this is true,(and not a mistake in any documentation), I wonder if the handset is meant for VZW and Unicel customers. I know Verizon Wireless acquired Unicel not too long ago and had planned to add CDMA equipment to
the existing Unicel GSM equipment at the base stations. One of the articles I found did state that VZW wanted to keep the GSM technology up and running for roaming.
Aren't the two (CDMA and GSM) radios going to interfere
with each other though?

Alltel has this setup in areas where they're the only GSM roamer. Except for areas where GSM is in a different band, then a small portion of the existing spectrum is set aside for GSM, while the bulk of it is used for CDMA.

They wouldn't run at the same time. I pretty much guarantee you will have to manually choose CDMA or GSM mode.
