It's for Sprint

There may be a version for Sprint, but if so, it certainly won't be the only version. The event is in London and the plan to sell it to "most major carriers globally".

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. When it comes to this device, everything should be taken with a grain of salt at this point.

why does sprint get all these htc phones first? they are falling apart how can they really move that many phones. they should release the phones for the real CDMA company Verizon Wireless First.

It could be that Sprint (for better or worse) has been a better customer of HTC over the long haul. They keep their network and phones open and with less (I didn't say none) bloatware and lock downs.

Sprint also tends to carry more pda phones then VZW. And there also could be political reasons between VZW and Google that could be an obstacle. Remember VZ recent spectrum purchase and how much the bidding was run up?

And I freely admit I can be wrong on any of the above, but it is speculation. I could care less which gets it first, I'm not a customer of either.

Why not Sprint?

1. Simply Everything plan! BETTER than theirs!
internet, text, tv, email, and minutes
2. Largest evdo coverage in 486 airports

Two great reasons a company would choose Sprint for their internet PDA.

Plus Sprint is not falling apart. Just because they lost some customers doesn't mean they are doomed. 34.7 billion people still choose Sprint. So chill 🙄

If there are any news that other companies will be retracting their own unlimited plans then it would be easier to believe. The competition is still hot and Sprint just cannot pull their own plug as long as the others are still offering it.

Why would sprint pay for all of those commercials just to take away a simply everything plan. Especially when one of the upcoming phones that they are going to make has to be on the simply everything plan for the phone to activate. It is true that the plans will be restructured on 5-31 however simply everything will be a part of Sprint for some time to come 🙂

Its not going away for many reasons, but a big one because their most anticipated phone the Instinct is coming out in June and guess what? They're getting smart about it... the phone REQUIRES you get on a Simply Everything plan.
There was rumors it would have an extra $70 data plan, but thats not true... $70 is where the SE plans start (just not unlimited minutes.

Simple.... Sprint puts it out there with very little testing. So there some bugs not caught and then there is a software upgrade available right around the time Verizon launches their version of the phone as Verizon tests the phone throughly and works with the manufacture to make it ready for launch. Sprint probably wants 6 months exclusivity too. This is why there is a good 6 months or so difference between Sprint and VZW.
