too bad their primary area is just ONE STATE

True for now, but they got spectrum in both the AWS auction and the recent 700 MHz auction covering Alabama and Tennessee. They already have licenses in the PCS band covering at least west Alabama and possibly more. In addition, they already serve west Tennessee, the Alabama coast, and the Florida panhandle. So they could do some serious growing if and when they build out the licenses they already own.

Personally, I think they're trying to completely lock down their dominance of the areas they already cover. They've been blitzing the airwaves and newspapers with ads for many months. It must be working, since, when I was in the Mississippi Delta not long ago, just about every single person I encountered had a Cellular South phone. Th...

Well, if AT&T and Verizon could spend $10 to make $15 in NYC, or if they could take that same $10 to make and $10.25 in rural Mississippi, which do you think they would do?
