First of all, ask all of the carriers how many of the UNLIMITED CALLING plans they are selling. It's not a lot. T-Mobile reported more migrations DOWN to the Unlimited plan from plans like their 3,000 or 5,000 minutes plans than actual sales of the UNL plan. The point is that there are very few people who need UNLIMITED minutes. Sure, 450, 600, 900, 1000 isn't for everyone, but what if you had 1,000 minutes AND unlimited calls to any 10 people you wanted on OTHER networks? That is what Alltel is saying is the best value, and they are right.

With any of the companies now doing the unlimited (including Alltel), add a lines are either another $100 or $95/month. So for a husband/wife who need unlimited minutes, they'd be spending $200/month. ...

PS.

On the National Freedom 900 plan, customers receive UNL M2M, UNL N&W, UNL to 10 numbers on other networks, and 900 minutes. Verizon offers this SAME EXACT price point with all the same stuff... except for the unlimited calls to 10 numbers on other networks. T-Mobile did a study before launching MyFaves, and they found that, on average, customers use 65% of their minutes to 5 mobile numbers. It's safe to say that most customers are cutting their minutes in HALF when they use the MyCircle of MyFaves options offered by Alltel and T-Mobile. In other words, you would need about 900 Alltel minutes for every 1800 Verizon minutes that you have.

*GASP* You had better not make even an utterance about Verizon. Despite the fact that they make mistakes, they have secret assassins that are in their employ that lurk on the forum.

Just a brief point.. while what you say makes sense depending on the customr, the unlimited everything for Sprint is actually cheaper when you throw in the unlimited Txting/Internet/Navigation. On average, at base, those 3 things will cost you 39.99 extra a month, throw in a 1400 min plan for 89.99 and your way ahead with the simply eveyrthing by it including it all. 🙂 Which i think was the point for some. Plain unlimited minutes does cater to much less a portion of the celphone users, and truly unlimited everything such with sprint's plan, which caters ot much more.

The unlimited everything is only great if its only you who needs a line of service....how many people have only one line and not one for wife kids and parents.....the my circle option gives people a way to have 2-3 people on an account with unlimited text, n+w starting at 7pm , and nation wide calling with 2200 min and 20 my circle numbers for 139.99 or three lines for 155........this plan would satisfy 98% of anyone who needs a cell phone....which is what we are here to do ......and if i remember correctly alltel had an unlimited plan for 49.99 then 59.99 in Cleveland are they got rid of because once people added it up they realized that there were better plans out there
