Well, being as though all the carriers are trying to put Joe Customer on $99 rate plans, I think this is by far the most attractive of the lot. The next closest being ATT with similar features, but at $35 extra a month, you are talking about $840 extra over the course of a 2 yr agreement. This is a vacation in savings.

Why would you give away the farm when the competition is still more expensive for the same? With Sprint in the toilet, they dont wanna go down the tubes by losing more money than necessary. Its costing them nothing to have txting and 3g services tacked on for free.

I just think the 79.99 price point would've really drawn the customers in, which is a really big problem for Sprint right now...a lot of ppl don't need all those added perks. Sprint needs customers in a bad way, Price would bring ppl to the door.

I believe more and more customers will want this $99 because using the internet on the phone is on the rise just like broadband for the home has been. Sprint has drawn a line in the sand will ATT or Verizon respond?

at&t and verizon do not have to match it. they have far superior service and customer care than sprint and their 4Q numbers prove it. sprint is now the kia of wireless.

I agree "Far Superior" ? Can't contest the customer service issues, but NONE of the carriers are good or great. Some just better than others. Where did you pull that statement from?

It is a better value because you don't have to pay extra for txt, or internet, whereas you do have to pay extra with the other 3 carriers, even T-Mobile too by the way becsuse they don't include unlimited internet.

Let me ask you a question, What company came out with free mobile to mobile first? Most customers would say Verizon came out with the free familytalk first.
But the old Cingular had free mobile to mobile a long time before that. But Verizon Wireless advertised it first and they got tons of customers even though Cingular had a better plan. Its all about what the customer knows.
So if the customer knows that they are getting a better deal with Sprint compared to other companies then they will come to sprint.
