Video Tour: iPhone OS 3.0
Kind of dissapointed
Is anyone else a bit disappointed with the OS 3.0? Overall it is great to own a phone that improves itself overtime. Unfortunately I have high expectations for Apple and I am left "UnWoWed".
Here is Why
Still cannot MMS until ATT gets their stuff together. Cut and Paste is ok but I doubt I will use it that often (Its a little more precise than the screen shots I used before) and the search is a nice feature but I cannot imagine using it much (the beauty of the Iphone is that it is layed out so everything is categorized and easy to find - in my opinion)
Features that I would use:
Voice search and dialing - (not available on 3g but is on 3GS) - I use the "say who" APP now but it takes forever to load and is not accurate enough

I agree, the biggest complaint anyone has about the phone is the lack of MMS. Wouldn't you think that would be apart of the big 3.0 update. Im not impressed. Plus Apple keeps all there info so underwraps that the ATT people dont even know whats going to be on it, so they just lie and tell you all things you wattnt on the update will be there

In all honesty MMS and Data Tethering will be available within a month to two, the reason for the delay is there is hundreds of thousands of iPhone users but millions of other users and if we allow the iPhones to do MMS without updating our servers first they will crash the entire system for everyone. Be patient you have lived this long without it another month won't kill you. 🤣

Also 3.0 does have turn by turn voice directions, with ATT Navigator & Navigator preplan. Video is excellent & can be emailed, with sound etc. The new OS has so many slick new features, need to study close & learn. Also I am already using Tethering (help.BenM.at). Download & turn on in about 5 Mins.(N/Chg 🙂. About 555kbps on 3G, not to bad. And like the other person said, antiquated MMS is on the way, phone is ready & waiting for ATT to activate. Tons of new little twitches, if you look. 😎
