AT&T Follows Verizon's Lead, Launches Unlimited Calling
Nice to see objective reporting
No PDA or Blackberry plans?
I guess reading the press release doesn't help.

Exactly which part of the story is incorrect? The AT&T press release points out that these plans are not available on PDAs or iPhones. That is exactly what we reported. If and when AT&T announces unlimited calling plans for PDAs and iPhones, we'll report it. As of now, they have not.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced today new unlimited voice plans targeted to wireless users who want the predictability of flat rate pricing for unlimited minutes. The plans will be available to new and existing wireless subscribers for $99.99 a month for unlimited U.S. calling on all devices with no domestic roaming or long distance charges. The plans can be combined with any current wireless data plan ...

As with other voice calling plans, AT&T customers can choose from a variety of data and messaging plans to meet their needs. ***For example, customers with standard wireless phones*** can choose a data plan such as $5 for 200 text, picture, video and instant messages or $35 for unlimited messaging and MEdia Net access.
__
That's only relating to data, right? At the bottom, it says:

*Standard wireless phones do not include smartphones or PDAs or the iPhone.

The only thing that it even mentions about the smartphones/PDAs/iPhone in regards to the data additions. So to me it looks like they ca...

Instead of completely throwing their new data pricing to the wind with these new plans they simply created a single plan to which you can add all of their current feature offerings.
So simple even an objective journalist should be able to understand.

unless you are talking abou this:
As with other voice calling plans, AT&T customers can choose from a variety of data and messaging plans to meet their needs. I believe they had to disclaimer this simply because data plans for PDAs and smartphones are higher than the $15 they charge for unlimited MEdiaNet on standard phones. Unlimited data on PDAs and smartphones starts at $30 with no messaging included. So my interpretation would be that you could use this voice plan on any device, but the data would cost you more on certain devices.
you are correct. how it was stated by the editor of the news article was that it would not be availible on pda or iphone plans.
The press release did not point out anything of the sort. You either saw what you wanted to see (something inferior to report) or just made a huge blunder. Consider you have not already revised your incorrect statement I will assume it was the former.
Crackberry pointed out exactly the correct information.
"*Standard wireless phones do not include smartphones or PDAs or the iPhone."?

they were using the pricing as AN EXAMPLE... they had to put the disclaimer so people wouldn't try and order a blackberry with a $35.00 unlimited message and media net package on it...
Hey, if he simply misread the press release then he would simply post a correction, and I would apologize. The problem is many here at phonescoop (including the editors and journalists) don't do that. They misinform in the face of many facts and don't answer for their actions. They have a plethora of information at their fingertips and choose not to use it.

I have the iPhone and I got the unlimited voice yesterday without any problems. I called CS and in less than five minutes I was good to go.
Indeed. Customer service CAN add the unlimited plan to iPhones, and there is nothing prohibiting them from doing so. I believe the only hitch at this point is that someone activating a brand new iPhone through iTunes won't see it as a rate plan option yet. So, they'd have to pick a different plan during the activation, then call customer care and get them to change the rate plan to the unlimited offer.
