I am pretty sure this is going to help VZ bring in more new customers. Now that VZ and Sprint are to offer unlimited plans, it is time for AT&T to come to the table as well. It has been a long time coming for the nationwide carriers to offer plans like this that are not regional specific.

This is unbelievable! Unlimited minutes were only offered by regional carriers like Metropcs and Cricket. I think Sprint offering unlimited minutes through their Boost prepaid service convinced Verizon to jump into that lucrative market. Who's next? AT&T? T-Mobile?

Metro PCS is the worst regional carrier though. Crappy phones, crappy coverage, and have to pay extra monthly for features that are free with national carriers. Hell, even T-Mobile, as crappy as they are coverage-wise, is better than Metro PCS.

I love it how everyone here seems to hate on TMO as often as possible but according to Consumer Reports they are the second best carrier after Verizon, and according to JD Powers (which I haven't checked for a like 6 months, so this may have changed) they are number 1.

Stop the hating, TMO has far better service than Sprint, and in most areas better than AT&T. They may lack in some rural areas, but they have a decent excuse, which is that they are the youngest carrier out there. They have great prices, good coverage, and great customer care. Soon enough, they will have 3G to back all that up as well.

This plan that verizon is offering is a limited time thing and Who in the world has 500 bucks to folk over for a family plan unlimited for 4 or 5 lines. It will be over 500 bucks when u add the tax on this stuff. Read a "100 bucks" a line. Thats a rip off. 🤣 Metropcs offers that and better service in detroit for half the price that verizon is charging. and right now Metropcs is small. wait till they grow and expand in NYC and the big 4 start losing millions of customers. customer service is not important to me.

As someone who prides himself on great customer service, let me be the first to say, don't bother coming in to my store. If I can't wow you with customer service, I don't need to spend my time with you.

For real....bad c service is like the plague. You are paying money to have that cell phone...The least reps can do is try and help you out. Give you great cust service. Otherwise you might as well just toss your phone if something ever happened to it. I would leave a carrier in a heart beat if i did not get good c service. It is like not standing behind your product...at all.

I agree with tmobile22....i am a verizon slave, i mean customer but i am looking forward to picking another carrier...trouble is ive been around the cell phone block before. i will get tmobile again when they upgrade to 3G and offer a larger footprint, i need GPS navigation from my phone and sadly Tmob doesn't have it yet. i found a loop hole in my contract, well Verizon actually breached the contract and i called them on it so they are releasing me without an ETF penalty. seriously though....who in the hell will pay $500 a month for unlimited. I have been living in Wayne County MI for almost 2 years now and I know about metro pcs....yea they suck service wise but i believe if more people supported them and they were born in Chicago where i'...

There will be a demand for the unlimited plans. For example many businesses will pick these plans. They always have conference calls which are costly in minutes. Also, some people I know have been waiting for an unlimited plan so they don't have to count the minutes. Now, you mentioned that you will go to T-Mobile once their 3G is up. Don't forget that AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless already have their 3G and are working on 4G. Sprint is currently working on deploying and expanding its Wimax services. AT&T and Verizon will use LTE which will probably be released by 2010.

Customer service isnt important until you need it....wait til you break your phone and your carrier tells you to take a flying leap.....I know Verizon customer care and customer service in the store rocks because they will bend over backwards to help you. 500 bucks for fam share is a lot but if only one line uses a crap-ton of minute, put that one on unlimited and the other 4 on a fam share and its way cheaper. VZW is the first Natiowide network to offer an unlimted plan....Sprint is doing it in a few test markets but VZW has launched it nationwide. It is incredible for truck drivers on single plans that are on the phone tons and business people who need a ton of minutes.
