thats what i say. thats what the txting price increases are, incentives for subscribers to get plans. soon it will be all data.

The problem is, I don't think people appreciate being forced into text bundles/plans by ridiculous individual text prices. Even if most of the major carriers are doing it or are going to. Still sucks, even if everyone is doing it. 😕

It's also kind of ridiculous that incoming texts cost are going to cost so much, when you really can't control how many of those you get... unless you just block, which is not a great solution for many ppl.

Basically, its all about gouging. The carriers want to force everyone onto a text plan, period.

I'm just waiting for dollar individual tex...

The carriers really should differentiate between incoming and outgoing texts. Charge more for the outgoing, but less for the incoming.

Like SystemShock said, you can't control the number of incoming texts you're going to receive short of blocking them, and that's not really a solution. I suspect that raising individual text prices like this is going to cause a lot more customer service calls about text spam, because as the carriers continue to jack up message rates those spam texts start to cost real money.
