Well what else can I say? I think I said it all the other week when it was Sprint or Verizon (I forget which) did the same thing.

Thats ****ed up. How the hell are you going to charge more to send a text than to make a one minute phone call. I have Verizon and they just did the same thing. But the problem is they increased the text rates a couple of months ago and now they are increasing again. WTF???? I dont send enough text to purchase a bundle but with these prices you might as well purchase a bundle. And as soon as every carrier increase their prices on per text message plans, they will start to increase the bundle plans.

They charge you more for texts because they make more. It's simple economics. And your carrier isn't alone. AT&T, Verizon and Sprint have all increased text fees at least twice within the past year and a half or so. And your comment about might as well purchasing a bundle...uh, yeah. That's pretty much why they're doing this. The good thing about bundles though, is that you're grandfathered in, unlike texting individually. So whatever bundle you get, the carrier cannot arbitrarily change the price on you.

Umm, SPrint has only increased it's per message rate once in the last 2 or more years from .15 to .20 per message and actaully lowered it's bundle rates...

Because people love to text, so it's only logical to do that.
