Government Urged to Research Cell Phone Radiation Effects
You're More Likely to Get Radiation From Radon in Your House
Cell phones are such low powered devices that you're more likely to be affected by the microwave or bricks in your home.
Why don't they just all eat a granola bar with tofu spread and leave us all alone?
Because granola bars and tofu spread will probably be proven to cause cancer too, and then they're screwed.

Are we really revisiting this issue AGAIN? 🙄 Yeeesh! Don't the conspiracy theory nuts ever admit defeat?
Conspiracy theory eh? Not only that, but the conspiracy theory is perpetrated by whom and what for purpose?
Let's just ignore the fact industry sponsored research dominates funding and that the industry fails to fund researchers after those researchers show detrimental effect from cell phone radiation.

Are they carrying the how-to tobacco handbook in their back pocket? Yeah. It's almost directly in line with the tobacco industry and all the things that they did to try to keep information from the public, to try to suppress science, to try to only

And by the way, if you actually think these guys might have some legitimate points, then why do you work for the very industry that is responsible?
Sorry Captain, but it looks like you're going down with the ship on this one.
I simply wanted to raise the point that the matter is not as cut and dry as it is made out to be and highlight the parallels between the tobacco industry and the wireless industry.
While I do not work for the industry, I am a customer. Regardless, I see how either is relevant to the fact of whether or not they pose a health risk.
In the meantime, I have taken steps to limit my exposure levles; low SAR, corded headset, and others. I also think that the European warnings regarding cellphone use and teenagers should be heeded (and at brought to the attention of parents) as well.
Further independent scientific research (not tainted by the industry) will not only allow for the health risks...

I hope that whoever comprises this team will represent a wide array of differing viewpoints.

Even independent research can sometimes be tainted by political ideology.
Ideology tends to be exposed fairly quickly by fellow scientists.
The politicization of results is what tends to linger.

Yep. One can only hope for a fair and balanced report. I guess we'll see.

Funny, funny stuff. The idea that there is any such thing as "independent" research is a good ole' belly laugh.
"Independent" research relies on University (read "government") grant money to survive. You win that next big chunk of grant money by discovering that the sky is falling, not by proving that all is well in the world...

For brandishing the first strawman argument, you win a cookie.
It has nuts in it.
The problem with all of this research is that we are constantly exposed to all sorts of radiation (TV,Radio) at much higher levels. We don't see people worried about TV and Radio radiation levels. Cell phone radiation is very low power compared to these other sources. This makes it very difficult to show correlation and even more difficult to show causality between cellphone radiation and health.
That does not mean that cell phones are completely safe, just that cell phone radiation is less likely than other sources to be the primary cause of negative health effects.
ok...
a study only really matters if people actually heed the advice!! otherwise you might as well go to the top of the empire state building and scatter the pages to the wind for all the good it will do.
