MetroPCS is looking at the ZTE C88. It is a 1st gen RAZR clone, unimpressive camera, bluetooth 1.1 w/headset and OBEX/FTP confirmed. Not confirmed whether you can use your own files as ringtones.

Does have fully USB 2.0 compliant mini-usb charging port/data port so it can even use RAZR chargers.

The main thing that stuck out in the specs was that it has a total message capacity of 1000 messages because of its massive 64mb internal memory. No word on how their disbursed (inbox/mms/outbox/sent/archive?) but it sounds alot better than some of the cheaper phones out there.

Should be priced close to the V3A, hopefully a bit cheaper eventually.

A good midrange choice, though I don't like the angle it opens too, its still a long ways from 180* when open. Closer to 110* I'd say.

Battery life is slightly better than the RAZRs, acheiving industry average 4 horus talk/4 days standby in local tests. Bluetooth works great with motorola H700, Nokia, and samsung bluetooths.

It's not much, and definatly a RAZR clone, but its only a start for the Chinese maker to get into the US.
