when your Dobson contract ends
will you still be able to stay on that old plan if you want to upgrade? Or will your new DeathStar phone require an Imperial plan?
Because I have a lot of SmellOne customers in my area on the $55 unlimited plan. And will Cell One custys be able to opt out of their current plan after the switch?
...
Yea, can we opt out?? What if I don't agree with the terms of service?
...
I have actually had someone ask me if I knew the answer to that question..
excuse me let me say it the way wigger boy did ...
ayyo! i gahuh ax you summpin.. when sangalayer takes ovuh cellalerrone do i gotsta gidda new phone en alldat or am i all good?
😳
I'd have been able to answer him if spoke English. instead I instructed him to go ASK AT&T since this is a SPRINT STORE if he hadn't been able to discern that from the yellow and black sign tha clearly indicates "Sprint." and he's a college student. I weep for the future of this country.

If you want a new AT&T phone, you must sign a new contract and select an AT&T plan. You cannot have a CellularOne phone on an AT&T plan or have an AT&T phone on an CellularOne plan.
Also, you don't have to wait until your contract is done to switch. You can switch to AT&T at any time and they will not charge an ETF. But, if your CellularOne contract does end, you still have the option of continuing your plan month to month, but if you want the benefit of a new phone, you must swith to AT&T's plans and service.

a lot like sprint and nextel
...
Yeah, which is really weird because both AT&T and CellularOne are GSM so you would think that AT&T would be fine with CellOne customers bringing their phones to their network. But with Sprint and Nextel, that's totally understandable due to Sprint being CDMA and Nextel being iDEN.

My friend at AT&T tells me that if you UPGRADE your phone that you will have to switch plans, however if you don't upgrade you will be able to keep your $50/Unlimited State plan until the 2 year contract period ends. After 2 years you will have to switch to another plan. Those customers with the $99.99 UNLIMITED NATIONWIDE PLAN I'm told will be allowed to keep their plans as AT&T does have left in their system the ONERATE Plan whereby they will let customers continue to keep that specific plan.
