In some areas, yes. T-Mobile purchased new spectrum in areas they don't currently have but one will need a 3G device to take advantage of those areas. Plus, their merger with Suncom should be complete by the end of Q1 so that will be added coverage as well. They have a lot of catching up to do in that area but I think it will please all of their customers once fully deployed. I'm just hoping the delay means that they'll light up a huge amount of coverage instead of a market "here and there."

One if the reasons why it has taken tmobile so long to roll out 3g is because they want to launch it everywhere. Not like at&t who says they have 3g but its not available in all markets.

Amen i live in suburbs (suburban hell) and tmob hardly gets coverage here according to he maps but rural areas don't get good (if any) coverage either so for the sake of Americans everywhere i hope tmob gets more towers.

Not really. T-Mobile is already rolling out 3G (WCDMA) and will light it up in select markets a little at a time when the feds give up the frequency T-Mobile paid for a year ago. The buyout (not merger) of Suncom will improve coverage in those areas.3g is only for high speed data and T-Mobile is the last major carrier to upgrade. Since they are doing this so late in the game it seems like they should have just gone to 4g and pass up Sprint and Verizon who are closer to 4g and have a more stable network.I use t-Mobile and sell it and I would love to not have so many dropped calls. I do have to use my girlfriends Sprint phone when we travel.

haha, a response like that could only come from a indirect dealer. i wnt even comment on thefact you say there netwrk is more stable, i let the fact tmo nation wide has the LEAST amount of dropped calls speak for it self. If i were you id do a little research on tmo 3g an actually get some facts befor you start giving people wrong information.

Yes, I am an independent dealer and have owned my own wireless business for 20 years and I sell T-Mobile (my best seller and highest returns) at&t, Sprint and Verizon. I would NEVER want to be a direct dealer because I can service my customers best by giving them a choice of carriers suited to their area. In this area, Austin, Texas and most of Texas T-Mobile drops the most calls followed by at&t. I don't care about biased surveys, I go by experience and the number of complaints my customers relay to me and the number of returns i get. I look at each customers coverage maps to determine the best carrier. My wife works for T-Mobile and my brother is an engineer for them, that is where I get my information. You have advertising from three of ...

As far as which carrier has the least amount f dropped calls well sprint an TMO are the two that actually win it an fight it back and forth every 6-8 months they have a new report, AT&t has about 100000000 little * to show that its not nation wide by many select cities.

the fatcs are that TMO will release 3g and it will not just be for data. the data devices will not even be avaible for 6 months to a year after the 3g is launched. several phones will have it an some already do. And as far as where you live an where i live, yes there is considerable differences all over the country i personally carry 3 providers and in the ATL area and suburbs i find TMO by far more dominant in best call quality an signal. Verizon and cinguar dont even wo...
