IN order for Nokia to have a bigger presense in the US is to come out with more innovative and intriguing designs... functional and interesting designs, multiple designs for all demogrtaphic groups.
People want KB's, WiFi, 3G, BT and high resolution screens.
Listen up Nokia.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'm not quite sure I understand your point. Nokia has phones that have all of that. The one area where US customers might have a gripe is with 3G, since Nokia obviously has many more phones with the worldwide 3G bands than they do any US ones. However, I do have to come to Nokia's defense a little bit here.
Nokia has tried several times to put out 3G phones specifically for AT&T (6282, US version of N80, E62, N75, etc) only to have the carrier decide at the 11th hour to not release it or to postpone it for so long that by the time it did come out it was almost obsolete. Nokia IS listening. But it can only do so much.

I agree with Omagus
check the specs on the Nokia:
N95
E90
N93i
N91 8GB
S60 Touch (not release yet)
6500 Slider and a whole lot more....
the real problem is, no one want to pay the price tag on these phones, but that might change in a few year when people are more knowledgeable about mobile devices.
...
Also it'll all change soon. Since manufacturers are going to want exculsive rights like AT&T gave Apple for the iPhone.
Soon I see that we'll be able to pick whatever handset we choose for any carrier like Europe and Asia and all we need to choose is the service provider we are willing to be with.
...
That will only happen when people stop being cheap with their money and invest in a good product.
...
Yea. But with the economy as it is now. I don't see that happening anytime soon.

the only real attractive nokia i think ive ever seen was the 6555, for the price/features it really isn't a bad phone. 😉

if they put a little more effort into their designs like they did with the vertu phones for the high end market, i would be more likely to buy a nokia. but they look and feel old, and for the most part, to me they feel cheap.
