Yea its funny as hell, but lets be honest! Our government is so slow to do ANYTHING that SPRINT will probably have everything move before it happens.

Why is this such a big deal? Sprint should have moved over to the new spectrum. And besides, weren't they supposed to eventually shut down iDEN after they took over Nextel?

Yes, but they committed to continue service on the IDEN network through 2012 at least. This would be detrimental to Sprint. Not only bad for the legacy IDEN customers, but for the bundle of people, who in the last year have purchased Powersource handsets. These would lose their value completely without the IDEN network. This would actually be considered small potatoes to my next point.

More so, IDEN services so many Corporate Liable and Public Sector accounts, you would see an astronomical amount of churn from them. Not an industry analyst, but this could be a huge hurdle to overcome for Sprint. Probably the biggest yet...

Kinda of a double wammie for sprint, Regular Nextel customers using Iden for everything would loose all they have... plus Sprint customers using the Hybird CDMA/IDEN combo would loose the PTT functions.. Not to mention Boost mobile, that runs off of Iden as well.. sucks for sprint.
Oh well,

🤤
Yup.. I'd have a nice quiet work day.
We have a whole lot of Nexthell phones. I just got my new Blackberry 7100i recently ☹️
I typically have 3 to 5 hours / day of conference calls on this thing.

Yep,true. I remember a few months ago when they actually spend money on advertising how their network is much faster than AT&T w/ those data cards.
Wow!! Look at them now. Who's getting the last laugh now? They could have spend those millions $ on actually improving their network.Had their focus on the wrong thing specially when trying to compare yourself to the big AT&T.

Good for Them!! 😁 😈
