I know this isn't it, but would you guys be interested if Google started their own wireless service? Google Wireless or something like that? Might be great. Just a fantasy though.

with them bidding for the spectrum, they could.

i think its going to be more along the lines of google capable handsets that are for another carrier but would roam onto google's network for exclusive content/apps.

But my brain hurts when i think of such wonderful things

I think Google really is such a unique company that it's hard to tell exactly what they plan for the future. But we'll know as we get closer to the 2nd half of '08.

But I watched demo vids of this Android OS, and all I have to say is WOW, WOW, WOW

Or how about they are buying this spectrum so they can broadcast advertisements to us wherever and whenever... directly to our super awesome Android devices!

Android is simply an OS, not advertising included. The point is, that Android will make web browsing and such so easy on phones that people will then go to www.google.com and see the ads they have there.

So lucky us, no advertising directly on the phones.
