Does anybody know or have any information on the touch pro2 coming to Sprint?

When do you think we will hear from HTC or the press which US carriers get this wonderful phone?

Can anybody speculate if we will get the carrier availability news this month or will we have to wait until sometime in March or April?

The Touch Pro2 will come to "all major carriers worldwide in late Q2 2009". I don't know which carrier specifically, but that does mean it will come to at least one US carrier in the first half of the year.

I would be willing to bet that the Touch Pro 2 will be spread around like the original Touch Pro, with multiple major carriers getting their hands on it. I also would be willing to bet, although with more risk, that T-Mobile will be the likely original sole distributor if they launch it with only 1 carrier. They never got their own original Touch Pro, and it looks like HTC might have burned them with the G2 a little bit, or more likely, cut a deal with them... This would also line up with the rumors that TMo was going to be getting the HD, considering the TP2 is essentially a HD with a keyboard.

why would they launch on t-mobile..... you have no proof...and it would be a mistake to put that phone on the least powerful 3g network out of all 4 major carriers.

If you re-read what I wrote, I explain my reason for suspecting if HTC does a single carrier launch to begin with, before letting them all have it, it would be with T-Mobile. You will also see that I open off by saying it will be spread around with every carrier having their own version of it.

As for T-Mobile having the "weakest" 3G network of the 4 major carriers, so what, that didn't stop HTC from launching the G1 exclusively with T-Mobile. It didn't stop HTC from sending the Touch Dual to T-Mobile before any other carrier. And it ignores the fact that T-Mobile arguably has the closest working relationship with HTC out of any of the big 4.
