Sorry Sprint? Clearwire was likely at Sprints mercy in this decision. Either way Sprint is still building out Wimax like crazy, so I don't see this as a huge loss.

You happen to be right, it might take Sprint a little longer, or have some gaps in rural areas longer then they wished. But most of the country will be served.

More or less, it said they haven't come to an agreement as of yet, doesn't mean they won't in the future.

This is true. Sprint owns 85% of the spectrum. Clearwire needed this deal to go through in order to survive. The way the company is runned, it will not exist much longer.

Clearwire's only hope of being around a few more years was this deal, I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see if they tried again. Take a look at their stock price from IPO til now. Also note how much money they spent last year on network deployment, its almost a joke... a sick sick joke on their stockholders
