Follow the Leader

SellFone

I find it hilarious that other companies follow suit with Verizon. Perhaps people will just get smart and join the leader and always know they are getting the best wireless experience out there.

Ahh good ole propaganda. To bad at&t is the leader in customer total, and T-Mobile is the leader is customer satisfaction. All Verizon leads is in cost of rate plans. And dont give me its the network bs, EVERYONE claims to have the best.

Actually, Verizon has more postpaid (contract) customers than ATT. Its the prepaid (i.e. cheap) customers that keep ATT ahead in total customer count, though not by much.

Verizon is also #1 in having the lowest churn, and in revenue. Really, the only thing ATT is #1 in is customer count, again, due to all those prepay customers. Go GoPhone!... lol.

Far as T-Mobile goes, they do have really good customer service, no doubt about that. But they also have a mu...

Heres the thing, Verizon has more customers then ATT, ATT counts Trac phone ,and their other "resellers", There are more customers in America that have Verizon labled handsets, then ATT/Cingular handsets.

So technically, Verizon has "the largest calling community".

So piss up a roap ATT. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

LOL exactly and if these companies really wanted to "follow the leader" as if Verizon is an actual leader anyway....They could, lets see...

Oh.. take away 7pm nights, cripple bluetooth, use BREW (ugh) and put the same old crap menus on every phone.

No thanks Verizon. I dont need a control freak for a wireless carrier

Well to put this in simplest terms, T-Mo has been on top for years, everyone has been after them. Now that T-Mo has changed to do what the other guys are doing, Guess who is back on top! Thats right everyone changes to beat the beat the best, but once everyone is back to doing the same thing guess who will be the winner! Yea thats right!!! T-Mobile!

No... T-Mobile wins best in customer service consistently from JD Power, but not best overall.

T-Mobile doesn't win the call quality surveys... guess who always wins those? Yup, Verizon.

actually, T-Mobile DOES win call quality awards, and they actually won the JD award for 2006.

In 2007 they've dominated the customer service awards, highest in overall customer satisfaction with wireless retail service, and highest overall satisfaction among wireless cell phone users in most markets.

Um, nope. โ˜น๏ธ

I'm looking at the Sept 2006 JD Power press release as I'm typing this. The results?:

Northeast Region: Verizon won, T-Mobile came in dead last

Mid-Atlantic Region: Verizon won, T-Mobile again dead last

Southeast Region: Verizon, Alltel, and T-Mobile in a three-way tie for first (all scored 105)

North Central Region: US Cellular won, Verizon second, T-Mobile tied for third

Southwest Region: Alltel won, T-Mobile second, Verizon third

West Region: T-Mobile won, Verizon tied for second

Overall, Verizon won in three regions and took second in two others. They wer...

My point being, they still win call quality awards. I don't recall saying they win them all or dominate, nor did i say they won any in 2007.

everyone carrier has their strong points, T-Mobile's obviously being customer satisfaction. personally im not a huge fun of JD Power awards, since they don't survey a vast amount of people.

Not in 2007, you didn't. But Verizon did... a lot. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Also, you are waaay behind in 3G.

That said, you're right, every carrier has their strengths, T-Mobile's being cheap plans and good CS. But you gotta admit, Verizon's network, coverage, and strong 3G prescence are awesome strengths to have.

the 3g is behind for two main reasons. the spectrum t-mobile purchased in the last auction is still in the use by the military in many areas. right now the 3g production is at a stand still until early next year. it would have been released this month if the government would hurry up and get off the spectrum.

Only in 2001 did T-Mobile USA emerge. before that they were Voicestream, a tiny provider with minimal coverage. in the matter of 6 years, look where they are now. they have came a long way. shorty they will stop playing this came of catch up and will be an even more larger threat. I see Helio doing the same thing as well.

and yes, those are great strengths to have.

No, it is not a matter of follow the leader, but rather, because of the Cell Phone Users Bill of Rights.

T-Mobile has more than done their share of innovation anyways, with hotspot@home and myFaves, along with just plain lower rates in general.

Verizon just has higher rates on voice, data, phones, and well... everything.

Follow what leader? Cause in 10 years time if T-Mobile keeps up the growth (customers as well as towers, 3g, 4g, etc) then T-Mobile WILL be the leader.

And I don't know about your whole argument about GoPhones, but money is money and customers are customers. AT&T still has the most.

Why, thank you for proving my point. Lets discuss why other providers, such as T-Mobile, are following the leader. T-Mobile has introduced those campaigns in direct reflect our Verizon products and services.

1) hotspot@home - Use small, remote WIFI areas to create a localized internet solution

VZW: Our growing, broadband wireless network covers more than 210 million people in 245 major metropolitan areas and 194 airports. Kick WIFI, use one network, everywhere.

2) myFaves - This is my favorite example. Pick 5 people and talk free! Since T-Mobil...

1) Hotspot@home is NOT about data! Maybe research something before you try to bash it and at least have a basic understanding of it. Hotspot@home is mean for calls, certain phones have WiFi chips in them that use the internet to make calls. Not only does it make your coverage guarenteed perfect in your house, you can also get unlimited calls from any WiFi spot for $20. It effectively eliminates the need for a landline, and you can have one phone, one phonebook, and one number. Great for stay at home moms, or home buisnesses. Also the coverage helps alot, partly because T-Mobiles coverage lacks in certain places, and because some places no carrier has good coverage.

2)Myfaves is AWESOME! Not everyone is not on one network, never have never...

Someone who is not totally biased.

Of course VZ has its pro's (like he said, IN calling) but AT&T has the most customers, should they all switch to AT&T instead? Somethings just can't be done or are unreasonable, T-Mobile makes those things possible though, with innovative new ideas.

Verizon knew that introducing a prorated ETF would force other carriers to follow suit, which in turn allows customers from other carriers to port-in sooner to VZW, rather than later.

Meh. People who get upset about fanboys are usually fanboys or fangirls themselves, and are just upset about what's being said about THEIR favorite carrier. ๐Ÿ˜‰

That's been my experience on these and other forums anyway.
