I would have to disagree with you. There are differences between the two phones. For one, you have the capability of looking at full webpages, like the iPhone. Plus this is a multi-touch screen instead of just a single touch like most touch screen PDAs. I think it's going to be interesting to see the new phone and what it brings.

I would have to disagree as weel. Although this phone shares the same OS and has some similar features, it adds the TouchFlo interface and has a more versatile touch capability. Although it doesn't have WiFi and a keyboard this device is not meant to go after the business user but the hi-tech or tech saavy consumer. Lest expensive than iPhone and faster web speeds along with more PDA capabilty make this phone a best buy in its field.

This is the iPhone Killer, same style..... 5 times faster, more Multi Media than most phones, PDA's, and Ipods put together. Welcome to Sprint Speed. Oh Yeah.... Half the price too. Sure to piss off all the AT&T lovers. I can't wait to get mine, and show them what my 250.00 phone will do, and their 600.00 phone won't even think about doing.

Well if he's talking about internet speeds, it is. When comparing a phone with wifi/data to a phone with just data, wifi is dropped. Data-wise, it is 5x faster than the iPhone due to the Touch being 3g and the iPhone being 2g.

If you want to argue about wifi speeds though, how often do you find free wifi in most major cities? If you do find it, its very restricted to where that business wants you to go online. Also, wifi isn't everywhere but most cell phone companies data network covers most of the nation.

well not trying to argue just bring up a point. many cities are totally covered in free wifi or soon will be. san francisco is a good example, large parts of nyc is another.

but wifi aside i agree that 3gis faster than the iphones 2g speeds.

though to the other poster ... i don't see wifi listed on the specs sheet provided on the sprint site in pdf format. though it wouldn't be the first time i hav...

regardless of wifi, Sprint EV-DO is pushing 1MB during peak times, and up to 3MB offpeak on REV. A right now. Once the upgrade is completed this fall, according to an RF data engineer in my area, they are expecting to have speeds of 2MB to 3MB during peak times, up to 5MB offpeak. Thats from a data engineer for Sprint.... with that said.... why do you need wifi????

You don't! LoL, my Sprint wireless card allows me to download around 180 KB/s witch is equivalent to a 2MBps and sometimes I hit up to 210 KB/s which is the 3MBps peak.

There aren't large parts of NYC that have WiFi. Believe me I would know about it. The only public place that has free WiFi is Bryant Park. Other than that you have to pay for your access at Starbucks, McDonalds, Barnes & Nobles, JFK airport. I am sure there are some Mom and Pop Stores that offer it but I am certain they too will charge for the access. If there are other places that have WiFi and it is free please tell me.

Agreed it is just common sense that the 3G network will be faster than an older platform like 2G.

As far as I know, Starbucks, airports, and probably Barnes & Noble and Border book stores are the only places where you can find free WiFi.

I don't think it really is an iPhone killer just because neither Sprint nor HTC has the brand awareness that Apple does. It certainly seems to be every bit as capable as the iPhone but it'll take more than that to actually beat out the iPhone.

I haven't been able to find any real technical info about this phone (but i haven't had much time to look either) and was wondering if this phone will have more ram than the mogul has.

That would be a nice improvement and probably necessary to run touch flo screen. Right?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
