CDMA is not done/gone/dying/etc. If you really think that, you should see what Japan and China are doing at this very moment. Most of japan is switching to CDMA, same with china. Why you may ask? It only because CDMA covers a larger area and can handle more connections. GSM has always been big only because they were the first in those countries. Once these countries switch, so will most of the world, except some small third world countries.

As nextel18 said, this statement is very ridiculous indeed!
